Forgiveness: Why we should, who it helps, and why it’s not the same as forgetting.
Come check out Connections – dinner and conversation about topics relative to our daily lives. Due to generous sponsors, there is NO cost to attend. Come and see!
Connections is a spiritual time shared over a good meal – a dinner party with a spiritual twist. Each evening has a theme, and our themes center on issues in the Christian scriptures.
Connections meets every first Wednesday of the month, beginning at 6 pm at 101 Main Street Atkinson NH. We gather in Lovejoy Hall, connected to Atkinson Congregational Church.
You will not be the only first-time attendee! We have yet to have a gathering without several first-time guests, so don’t worry about not knowing people. When you arrive, there will be about 15 minutes of gathering time to grab a drink and mingle. (Introverts, this is the only unstructured time of the evening, so just hang in there. We got you.) We have a variety of non-alcoholic drinks.
After about 15 minutes, you’ll be invited to sit at tables. You choose to sit with people you know well or people you’ve never met before. (Warning: you’ll be talking to your tablemates, so choose wisely.)
A facilitator will give a welcome and introduce the evening’s theme. Then the meal begins. The facilitator gives a brief reflection and a question for the table. The questions are answerable by anyone regardless of belief and we agree to listen with an open mind.
Start to finish is about an hour and a half. People often stay after, continuing conversations or beginning new ones.
