Frequently Asked Questions

  • Do I need to pay for my dinner? Should I bring something for dinner?
No, Connections is free of charge to all who attend. And there’s no need to bring food with you. Our food team plans and prepares a meal for each gathering. Just show up. We’ve got you covered.
  • I’m a vegetarian. Will there be something for me to eat?
Yes! Because we want everyone who attends a gathering to be able to enjoy the same meal, most weeks we prepare a vegetarian option.  If you have any allergies, dietary restrictions or other preferences, please let us know ahead of time by sending a message and we’ll do all we can do have something for you.
  • I have children. Can they come with me?
Most definitely! In fact, we’ve designed our gatherings so that you’ll be able to enjoy portions of the evening with your children. We encourage children to sit at table with the adults – but if they are better served after the meal to have some space to burn off energy, we have an adjacent room with adult supervision for their own  time of child-focused activity and conversation.
  • Do I need to be a Christian to be a part of Connections?
Not at all. In fact, we welcome and honor those of all faith traditions. Our gatherings most often center on the way of Jesus, but we don’t place any expectation on those who attend to follow Jesus. And while many of us at Connections are followers of Jesus, we see the beauty of God’s image in every person who joins us. We also believe that each of our perspectives are enhanced and enriched when we can listen and learn from those of other faith traditions or no tradition at all. Those who identify as ‘nones’ or left an organized church can find a home at Connections.
  • Who pays for dinner? How is Connections funded?
The generosity of those who regularly attend, as well as the generosity of donors outside of Connections, makes each of our gatherings possible.
